GARTERS or FLASHES -
Flashes, originally designed for holding up hose, are purely decorative today. They are made of wool with adjustable elastic band for perfect fit, available in red, green, navy, ancient red, lovat green, and lovat blue; one adjustable size, $20 pair.
GHILLIE BROGUES SHOES -
Ghillie Brogues are Highland shoes that lace up and around the calf. They are made from top grade leather and are available in black for evening and brown for day wear, $165.00 pair. Please specify shoe size when ordering, or send us a tracing of your foot.
JACKETS -
A black jacket is usually worn for evening attire, and we recommend two of the most popular:
Kilt Jacket - Our most preferred jacket due to its comfort, especially in the summer months. Made of the finest Barathea wool, it features a straight back , two pockets, two button front, and square silver plated buttons. This jacket looks smart with a white dress shirt and tie, or bow tie. Size 36-48 (short, regular, or long), $425 (for XL add 10%).
Prince Charlie Jacket and vest - Made of the same Barathea wool as the kilt jacket, it is the equivalent of a tuxedo jacket, featuring a cutaway jacket with tails, satin lapels, button vest, and square silver plated buttons. It can be worn with the lace jabot and cuffs (as featured under SHIRT ACCESSORIES) , or white tuxedo shirt and bow tie; Size 36-48 (short, regular, or long), $475.00 (for XL add 10%).
KILT BELT and BUCKLE -
Finest Morocco lined leather belt with engraved Celtic design buckle available in black with silver design buckle or brown with brass buckle, $95.00 Please specify waist measurement when ordering.
KILTS - New
The kilt is the basis of Highland Dress, and was originally called breachon fille - Gaelic for great kilt. All of our regulation kilts are entirely custom made to your exact measurements by our expert kilt makers in Scotland - no patterns exist for kilts. Our kilt makers must serve a five year apprenticeship to learn their fine art. Each kilt is hand-cut and hand-pleated utilizing an average of eight yards of tartan material per kilt. They are available in a number of weights of 100% pure wool, ranging from 9 1/2 ounce Saxony to 13 ounce worsted.

For the Ladies...
Ladies generally do not wear kilts, unless in Highland Dance Competitions, or as a member of a Pipe Band. Traditionally, a lady wears a sash or shawl, made of either fine wool or silk fastened with a brooch at the right shoulder, and either passed under the left arm and fastened again, or allowed to hang down behind.

We finished sashes ( shawls ) with a "rosette", by following simple instructions found in So. You're Going to Wear the Kilt. A must for anyone wishing to fully appreciate Highland Dress.
